Watercolor Still Life Collage

Students painted different sheets of watercolor paper using tools such as maskoid, saran wrap and crayons to create different textures. They made contour line drawings on top of the watercolor paper, outlined them in India ink, and cut them out. Students then created a collage, seeking to arrange the objects in such a way to achieve visual balance.

These students did a great job! Using old magazines, they created a new image by building up values (light and dark) with bits of paper.

Sea Bean Art Show

Students' Self Portrait Prints will be up at the Sea Bean Coffee Shop in downtown Seward for the Holidays beginning this Friday, December 4th. Come check it out!

Self Portrait Prints

Students took a self portrait using Photo Booth, posterized the image, and then traced the shapes in order to create another reductive linoleum print.
